Choosing the right school for your child is a big decision, and you likely have many questions. At Montessori Academy of Northern Colorado, we are committed to providing transparency and support. We have compiled a list of frequently asked questions to help you learn more about our Montessori programs in Greeley and our unique educational approach.

  • The Montessori Method is an educational approach developed by Dr. Maria Montessori. It is characterized by a prepared environment that allows children to learn at their own pace, fostering independence, self-discipline, and a love of learning. Our certified teachers act as guides, observing and supporting each child’s natural development within a mixed-age classroom.

  • We offer comprehensive early childhood education Greeley programs for toddlers (12-36 months), primary students (2.5-5 years), and kindergarteners. Our programs include flexible scheduling options, as well as before and after-care to accommodate a variety of family needs. Please contact us to schedule a personalized tour to learn more about our offerings and to see our classrooms.

  • We believe in providing an individualized learning experience. Our class sizes are intentionally small to ensure every child receives the attention they deserve. The student-to-teacher ratio in our primary classrooms is 1:10, and our toddler classes maintain an even smaller ratio. This provides a supportive learning environment and a low-stress setting for your child.

  • Yes, we believe in a holistic education that goes beyond the core curriculum. We incorporate French and Spanish lessons into our daily routine. For our kindergarten students, we also offer formal piano and guitar lessons. These enrichment programs are designed to broaden your child’s horizons and cultivate new interests.

Our staff members are passionate about guiding children through their developmental stages and fostering a nurturing, respectful learning community for everyone.

  • Our approach to discipline is rooted in respect and guidance, not punishment. We focus on teaching children self-regulation and problem-solving skills. When a challenging situation arises, our teachers redirect behavior by helping the child understand the natural consequences of their actions and learn how to make a better choice in the future.

  • We understand that choosing a school is also a financial commitment. Our tuition is paid on a monthly or bi-monthly basis, with options for full-time and part-time enrollment. We also offer family and active military discounts, and we accept the Child Care Assistance Program, as well as the Universal Preschool Program which may provide up to an 89% discount.. From practical life exercises to sensory-based activities, children actively engage with materials, developing fine motor skills, problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of concepts, all in a supportive early childhood education setting.

  • Our programs introduce children to multiple languages, including Spanish, French, and American Sign Language, enhancing cognitive growth and communication skills. This rich, immersive environment encourages curiosity, attention, and lifelong learning habits.
